opening afternoon got in the stand around 1:45 at 2:15 a nice nine point steps ou of the thick stuff 10 yds i stand and draw and he doesnt know i exsist i let the rage fly and he barely twitches and starts kind of trotting off slowly y first thaught was that i missed shot over his back maybe because he was so close but as i watched he just stopped looked back and fell over dead as a doornail 20 yds from where he was shot no tracking needed. it was like he didnt feel the arrow just herd the string anyone ever hed that happen before.
my granddady hunted these hills and i hope some day that my kids will so pass it on

Congrats! Where's the pic?  I've even had them act like that when shot with a rifle....I know...weird!

i know im workin on the pics my buddy took them on his camera because my wife had ours in arkansas seein her family so i got to get the sd card from him.
my granddady hunted these hills and i hope some day that my kids will so pass it on

Congrats on the buck! Something similar happened to me once with a doe on a greenfield. Misjudged the distance on my first shot and watched the arrow fly right under her. She just continued feeding so I grabbed another arrow and hit her this time broadside right behind the shoulder. I expected her to take off but instead, she just stood there like nothing happened. There was plenty of light left and I could actually see the ruffled spot on her side where the muzzy had hit. She took about three steps, got wobbly legged and fell over dead.
