You better make a copy of that picture and that way your son will have one. I know you will want to keep that one for yourself. Fine looking young man there Clint, You did well-whoops, I forgot to mention, pretty good looking ole' gal too!

Now she is not ugly, but I saw much better walking around the show. Also saw the deer tracker Tom Munoz and his weiner dogs walking around...cool little dogs.

I am thinking about going, but it is mostly deer stuff and I could really care less about the goats.

I think we're gonna go in the morning. Jughead said there was enough turkey stuff there to justify going.

I don't trust him, report back to us and if you say there is enough turkey stuff I will believe you.

My opinion may not be any good either:

I've got a seven week old and a sixteen month old at home and the only time I've been out of the house in the past two months was to go to work or church or go get something for my wife.................If they have a clearance box full of squealing hens and dead silence whistles it will be enough turkey stuff to justify me getting out of the house for a day.

They do have some turkey stuff there....ole Eddie Salter himself was there making some racket on a call....several custom call makers....and Tiffany

We had a great time with 30t/c and a couple of his young uns. Lots of turkey stuff. Bought me a new wrist strap for my bow. Good show I thought. Wasn't too crowded. The kids had fun.

I plan on riding to Huntsville with the wife tomorrow and her drop me off at the Civic Center. I plan to look around while she shops the malls in Huntsville. This is her Saturday ritual. She may shop all day and buy nothing or come home with an entire store in the truck. Amazes me to watch women shop and she can't stand to go to a deer show with me. She says I have no idea what I want to buy when I get there. I just like looking at all the new gadgets I gotta have to kill a deer.

I had a big time talking to Eddie and running calls with him. They had some type of exotic wood demo striker that was awesome on a slate call that I'm gonna order when it becomes available. I never saw Tiffany because I heard they didn't have a muzzle on her so I passed.

Be sure and check out that ol boy from Boaz with the custom calls.

I wuz there today. I don't know how many people the fire marshall would allow in there, but I figure there was enough to push the limit. Elbow to elbow. If you need a new kitchen whiz bang gizmo, or some fudge, it's the place to be. If you want to pay $23 for 2 bad cheesburger, an order of stale nacho's, a small drink and a medium drink, it's also the right place to be.

I did buy a "Death Cam" to use on my bow. Thought it was a pretty good deal.

I would personally enjoy the show more if all those local bow shops and bow companies that were there, would have booths set up against the back wall and let you shoot all the latest and greatest bows for the companies they push. Also, as big as a business as Larry's gun and pawn is, I would think they could bring a whole bunch of stuff that I would at least like to look at, even if I wasn't buying. That one pawn shop that I saw there had what seemed to be the crappiest weapons they could find. I don't care for all the chocalate/food/sauce/ninja throwing star booths myself. I never did see the 3d bow shoot area, but I didn't ask around for it either. Wiley's booth actually had some decent prices on some summit climbers compared to what they cost new.

I just got back from the show myself and I had a great time. If you think this show was crowded, stay out of Birmingham next week. They will be walking all over each other down there. I did buy several sets of hunting clothes for my Granddaughter and some cooking spices for the grills. I tasted some of the best chicken today I have ever eaten and I went to town buying the sauces it was cooked in.

In regard to the pawn shop with junk guns-that is why they were they with them. They were junk and he was just trying to get rid of them. I did see a young boy buy the 22 caliber assault rifle thingy he had. I also priced some land to one of the land agents there and set up a meeting with them to show the land. Maybe I will have some spending money soon, because Obama done got the rest of mine.
