I wonder if there is any way for me to take out a Life Insurance policy on these guys as I would expect it to pay of fairly quickly?

If I were them I'd stay away from windows on the upper floors of buildings and decline any cup of tea I was offered. LOL!

That "reactive armor" doesn't seem to react at all. Large Legoes, perhaps?

Shoot / move / communicate is the name of the game with artillery. You cannot stay in one place unless it's to guard a base or to hold tactical ground. If you don't move you're a sitting duck. This is why the U'S. went to mechanized artillery as it's mainstay 30 plus years ago.

thats correct BPI, I think they're also implementing the idea that instead of having 4 guns in a battery firing in one direction. Have 4 guns firing at one target from 4 separate directions at the same time. Then move, making it harder for counter battery to locate.

this better explains it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lw2o98e_YOY

Especially for the Russians. They had a bumper crop this year. They haven't had a harvest like this since Holodomer.
I'd be sweating bullets discing them fields due to mines and undetonated ordinance..

Never thought about that. Might be a big business opportunity for those with the right equipment and skillset.

I'm a sucker for war dogs. In this case it's a hero jack Russell https://twitter.com/ABCWorldNews/status/1516959908465422337
I seen some other videos of some EOD guys, going into areas where the Russians had withdrew. During a tactical withdraw, alot of anti tank mines(which can have anti tamper explosives) anti personel, mines and other booby traps are laid. These guys go in, do an initial sweep, and try to remove the dangers. Drones have helped alot, but it still has to be nerve racking work.

Neat video on deploying mines https://youtu.be/pQ1lVhKc644

Top US military sources are saying that the Russians are running out of war materials so quickly that they would be surprised if the Russians have the men and weapons to keep fighting for more than 60 days. It may even be less than 60 days.

With the Ukrainians back on the counter offensive, this is going to get even more interesting in the next couple of months.

Putin has to be looking for some sort of face saving exit strategy, calling it a victory and saying that they have succeeded in destroying the Nazi's and crippling Ukraine's ability to make war.

Allied aid will pour into Ukraine for rebuilding, politicians will get rich off the kick backs and everyone except the Ukrainian killed and maimed civilians and soldiers will live happily ever after...

The elite French forces were known as the Green Bidets

I imagine they'll tell stories of them warriors for the next hundred years.

I trained with some French Foreign Legion guys. They certainly seemed like a pretty capable bunch.

People always seemed to judge the French by what happened in WWII, but fail to mention that early on every armed forces in Europe got their butts kicked by the Germans. The Germans were a highly motivated force with superior weapons and tactics using combined arms that few armed forces of the time had ever seen before. And it wasn't until faced with overwhelming force that the Germans were forced to start backing up.

It's a true story about a former Waffen SS brigade that escapes to Switzerland after the war and joins the French Foreign Legion enmasse and goes off to fight the Vietminh after WWII and prior to the French pull out and subsequent American involvement. Fantastic book and a hell of an adventure.

I'd certainly want the French Foreign Legion on my side if I were going into battle.
