This is the truth, if you are back any child support when DHR gets their hands on it, you are screwed. Lose your job? DHR don't care, get behind and not only do they lay the hammer (rightfully so due to the deadbeat dads in this state), they charge interest on backed support and it goes to the receiver, surprisingly, not the state.

What makes the system really frustrating is when you have a "child support farm" as a mother that has 3+ kids with 3+ daddys and collects a check on all their azzes, including alimony. Not to mention government benefits, WIC, EBT, free education, free healthcare and free counsel.

System is totally rurn't and needs reform. Probably needs reform more than most government agencies in the south for sure.

Also to add to this, when the time comes for court and w2's/paystubs get brought up, don't be surprised if the mother drops her full-time job and grabs a part-time job. Meanwhile you keep hammering working full-time at your career job. This will mean you are paying way more child support (that may or may not be actually going to your child).

Just invest in ky jelly because you’re going to need it. Family court equals your phucked as a man. The law doesn’t apply to females. Sorry to to be so negative but if you have the absolute worst expectations maybe you’ll come out a little better than expected. I HATE HATE HATE our family court system.

Jacqueline Tomlinson comes on a talk radio show I listen to every day. They seem like good people.

My first wife, we had no children and were married for about 7 years wanted alimony, the house and acreage, and for me to keep a half mil life insurance policy on myself with her as the sole beneficiary and I was not allowed to cancel it. I counter sued her for adultery and beat her in deposition. I kept the house and acreage, paid her 30K less expenses, which amounted to about 17K, and the best part, I was over and across the street from her parents, and the house and acreage used to belong to her mother's brother....

When my attorney handed them the PI report, which of course she denied there was adultery.... and we broke for lunch, they came back and settled. It was awesome. Every pic they had of her was her staring right at them!!

PI asked me what I did for a living. When I told him I was an accountant, he said I was int the wrong line of work.

This is the basis of my comment, its a game, play to win!! And do whatever you have to do to win. You can be an upstanding citizen later. This is life and death. Literally. You will lose your mind dealing with domestic relations court, and I will guarantee you this, SHE WON'T FEEL BAD ABOUT STICKING IT TO YOU!!

Since I was the recipient of child support, I did use DHR. It cost me $20.00 per year to have them handle my CS case. Per my earlier post she still owes me thousands that I will never see, can't squeeze blood from a turnip that doesn't and hasn't worked in over 15 years. I did get a couple of income tax refunds early in the game until they wised up and started filing separate returns but no one threatened to drag her off to jail for the meager $331.93 per month for 2 kids she wasn't paying. Maybe I will see my name in the unclaimed money list one day but I doubt it.

yup - as i tell people - i served my time in JAIL for nearly 20 years - and then had to pay a quitter on our marriage/family an exorbitant amount

This. Scars are still recent for me. Nov. 2020. I was looking at $2K in alimony and $2k in child support and everything spilt down the middle. Only a female can get to a biatch level. I went with a female atty. She said hire a a private investigator. Worth every penny. 50/50 custody, $250 in child support, I kept the house. She was a stay at home wife for most of 19 years.

Also - Take the high road. Dont get petty, stay off social media, and keep your pecker in your pants until every thing is 100% done. This is not the time to be vindicated or right. Its a chess game with really high stakes.
