I do the same with mine. I killed one with 5 beards, and I cut a small tree (pencil size) with a limb that was about the same size and close to 90deg. I used braided line to attach the beards/skin to the trunk of the little tree, and applied borax till dried. Then I glued the end of the limb in the brass.
