It was back down to $17 bux a sheet in January. I saw $48 the other day. I used that stuff to lay on drive ways and patios to drive the skid steers on. Not no more. I bought treated 2x4s for $3 bux in January as well. Should have bought snuff to build a house back then. Concrete wire mesh is $350 per 150’ x5’ role. Materials are too high.

Last time I looked was a few months ago and I think it was about $37. per sheet for7/16. How bad is it now. It always starts climbing in the spring and on into the summer.

OSB. Partical board is what I call it. Plywood prices will scare you.

Everybody sees that osb price because it’s right up front. #12 stranded copper wire is $100 for 500’. It was $35 a role last year and no bill discount.

I’ve always called it particle board as well but I know a bunch of folks that call plywood OSB.

For anyone that doesn't know,
Particle board=sawdust and glue
OSB or oriented strand board= wood chips and glue
Plywood=thin layers of wood and glue

Was in local building supply store 3 weeks ago and guy in front of me was quoted $59 per sheet. 1/2 “ osb. 1/2” cdx plywood was $61.

OSB and particleboard are two different things Yep. Bout the only place particleboard is used in residential construction is under carpet . Can't be used for sub floor, decking , storm sheeting or under vinyl flooring. It's the weapon of choice in factory built cabinets and furniture .

It crumbles at the sight of water.

I put in a new back door and had to replace some plywood.normally I'd buy a 4x8 but it was so high I went to back of Lowes store and bought a 2x4 scrape piece and it was still around $30.
