Praise the Lord for another Good Friday! Won’t need a flashlight today! Heading up to Jackson County hoping the good Lord blesses me this morning! Spend some time thinking about what he did for us on this day if you’re out there chasing them today!

I was a few minutes late getting to where I was going, couple guys beat me there. It would have been the first time I'd been in there. Account of the walking conditions and my new hip.

if i hadnt taken up hunting i might have became a juvenile delinquent or worst taken up GOLF

All quiet, but I did get a pic of a gobbler back where I had been seeing him yesterday evening, so I might camp out there this afternoon.

Didn't hear much so headed up to my highest point and finally heard one. About a half mile away on the other side of my property of course just walked a long way back and closed the distance. Hopefully he's close. Set up and calling.

Pulled the trigger at 6:33. Just short of 10” beard. 1 1/8” spurs. Gobbled pretty good on the roost. Gobbled one time when he hit the ground. He had 2 hens with him. Took him to the top of the hill and watched the sun come on up. Beautiful morning. Thank you Lord.

Congrats Doghouse.

I think we got seen by this one. Wife was to my left and he came in on that side. He just clucked loud once. We could not see him but he was close. She tried but no luck. We waited and nothing. Now he's not answering. Going to try a new set up. He must have seen us or figured us out and faded off

The bad luck continues:..had 4/5 gobblin this am…two we were on…that advice about letting a hill between you and them is trash as I’ve always had em hang down in the bottom below the hill…shoulda just poked over and killed him. Had my head on him but was at 70 so decided not to shoot again due to just out of range

Well we circled around and set up again and called and he gobbled right on top of us. I clucked and purred and he came in perfectly into a little food plot. Two Jakes. The one gobbled like a man.. my wife did not want to shoot them but it was fun.

They've cleared us now and he's going up the hill gobbling at crows all worked up. We are going to let them both get out of sight then heading up the hill again.

Of course a gobbler is gobbling where we started off this am across the whole property again. I told my wife we have to loop around and get back up there. Hopefully we can get on him.

Had a couple gobble at daylight, one was hammering across the road just before I went over there after him a truck came down the road and all the gobbling stopped, I crossed the road and headed around a neighboring property, I heard him gobble one time on their land I’m set up on a greenfield now in the direction I heard him last, maybe he will come over here now that I’m on this side of the road!
