I've tried 2 and one his way better than the other (one i didn't really care for) one had a purty good taste. Maybe I'll remember it later lol

In college we used to drink LOTS of Rhinelander and Rhinelander Bock for $4.99 per case of bottles. That stuff would keep you regular for sure. They should sell it as a cleanse.

Drinking heavy Hoppy beers that taste like a mix between old cup holder spare change and a cheap Walmart nipple ring has just never done it for me .

If any of y'all catch yourself in Memphis one evening looking for somewhere to get some good beer, check out Wiseacre Brewing...they've got a couple of taprooms and some great beer. Family-friendly place, too. If you like IPA's, get their "Ananda". "Tiny Bomb" is another good one (I think it's a Pilsner). My favorite of theirs is "Gotta Get Up to Get Down"...it's a Coffee Milk Stout. It's similar to a Guiness with a faint hint of chocolate and coffee. It's incredible.

Several other similar places too, but Wiseacre's beer is my favorite.

but I like Guiness, Yeungling, free beer, and most stouts I've tried. I just cracked open a can of Stout At the Devil and its pretty delicious.

Most people don't realize that Guinness is actually a light beer. Some of their beers about only about 100 calories.

Most people don't realize that people with German ancestry make up the largest ethnic group of people in the United States. Before prohibition there were all kinds of local breweries all over the United States. During prohibition most of those did not survive. What did survive were almost all larger German breweries. The German beer of choice was... You guessed it... Lager!

From prohibition until the relatively recent changes in beer alcohol content laws, Americans have mostly been drinking some form or another of lager beers. Even the beers that weren't lagers were beers like Bock. Darker German beers.

Almost all Mexican beers, Dos Eques, Corona, Tecate', etc... Are all actually lagers. The Mexican's learned how to make beer from Eastern European immigrants in Texas. This is why Tejano music sounds like Polka and has accordions in it. Lagers weren't just popular in Germany but in all of Eastern Europe. Budweiser is a Czechoslovakian beer for instance.

Once the laws were changed and the beer alcohol limit was changed and the beer brewing laws were relaxed a cottage industry began to blossom. People began to revive long forgotten (In the United States) beer recipes and started trying out beers that were new to most American's pallets.

Lots of the old recipes that are now very popular are of course IPA. Stouts, Ales, Porters, and Imperials. Most of which are higher alcohol content British and Irish style beers.

Most people don't understand the origins of IPA or India Pale Ale. No they are not brewed in India. India was once part of the English Colonial Empire. Of course you had to have lots of English people running the place, you know, "The White Man's Burden" and all that stuff. Well... Those people liked English ales. The problem was that by the time beer made it from England to India on a boat it was skunky as all hell. But guess what? Hops is a preservative! So they figured out that if they increased the alcohol content and hopped the hell out of the beer it stayed good longer during the long shipping times. Well the ex-patriots living in India began to acquire a taste for it, and when they came back home wanted to keep drinking it. The rest is history.

My current favorite beers are Stouts, IPAs and Porters I also like the Imperial versions of all those beers. About the only time I drink a light lager is in place of water.

A few of my favorite widely available beers that I can think of off hand are Monkeynaut IPA, Stout at the Devil, Snake Handler, Sweet Water 420...

What does your husband drink?

Peanut Butter Porter is 9% and really good if you like dark. My wife and I drink dark/heavy beers in the fall/winter. Summer beers range from Mich Ultra to Purple Haze. All depends on the mood.

Here lately we’ve both been trying to get much healthier so not a lot of beer is getting consumed. Vodka, water and lime for that win.

Try Vodka, lime and club soda instead. It's our go to drink in the summer time. Very light and refreshing. About 100 calories. Use Tito's or Deep Eddy.

Anything that ends in “light” is like sex in a canoe, fraking close to water.

Let me have a couple more of these bud lights and B52's until they start getting called slippery nipples.... And there is a big recall on skippy peanut butter for new hamshire folks not to hi jack.....Metal shavings in 161 thousand pounds... I just drink whatever the nfl pushes when I drink beer.....

Just popped the top on a White Claw Tangerine Seltzer. Ice cold with slush in it.

I'm having a Plantation Over Proof Rum with a splash of Coke in it. Fixin' to make another.

My favorites are typically high alcohol content IPA’s with a hoppy citrus taste.

My new go to beer is Oyster City hooter brown ale. 8.5%

Oyster City is good beer. Have you ever been there? It's a cool place in a cool little city.

Lots of german pilsners survived too.

The best I’ve ever drank was a Heubach Light Dunkel Weizen. Second would be Oberdorfer and it can be found in the US. Haven’t drank one in years or I’d be really fat.
