It was a bitch slap, but his wife had health issues that caused her baldness. Comedy does not need to be made of that. If it was your wife.......................we know, it's aldeer..........you'd beat his arse, shoot him, etc.

She shaved her head for the attention. Alopecia typically causes small bald spots. I have a close friend (male) who has it. You can see when her hair grows out a bit that she has a very mild case, and if her hair was longer, they probably wouldn't be noticed at all.
Also, she is the perfect example of you can't make a ho a housewife. Not sure how any man could be OK with his wife sleeping around, but get mad about something like the joke.
These factors are why I believe that this was staged.
