I am thinking about getting a new deer rifle. What is the best caliber to get? 223? 243? 308? 300? or 30-06? I forgot what about 7mm-08?
Well now, that's a pretty deep, searious question to ask, it all depends on what class deer you plan on hunting? hunting over bait? clorox? water trough? groundblind, tripod, climber or stalk? you mixing up any grape kool aid and pouring it out into a x? what time of day are you hunting? deeeeep woods or fields? what's the deer density in your area, have you talked to the aldeer blackbelt biologist to verify your hunting property actually holds good 150 class deer and someones not pulling your leg, you might be paying to much to hunt..make sure you don't have a black panther problem on your proberty. if so i would go with the 300wsm, same goes for the bigfoots, anyway, answer them questions and we can try to figure out whick gun would best suit your hunting needs thanks
