Looking to buy some new glass. Besides CameraLand and SWFA, who do you recommend? I remember a few came up with some of the other scope discussions but I can’t recall the websites.

EuroOptics are good folks to deal with.

RedHawkRifles runs a good sale from time to time.

LisbertyOptics is another good one. Their processing & shipping is slow but prices are great.

Eurooptic and CameralandNY are my choices. Cabela's and Midway USA are the next options on my list.

B&H Photo. And when you're ready to order make sure you ask for a discount. Closed Saturdays, they are Jewish.

midway usa has some good deals from time to time. They had some really good deals on Vortex recently. Don't know if it is still happening.

Do not purchase from Optics Planet unless you are 100% sure it’s in stock.

CameraLandNY.com ships free and doesn’t charge sales tax. They will also cut a better deal over the phone.

Cameralandny has always been higher than other places for me. I’ve always found it cheaper somewhere else.

How about support local. I don't see optics planet on any little league teams jerseys. Not trying to bust your balls but now more than ever we need to support local guys. Local grocery stores, local hardware stores local restaurants.

I've bought from Eurooptic and Cameraland NY and I have not complaints.

But for the list several years I've bought all of my optics locally. If you shop around, you will find equal or better prices on high grade optics. I just like keeping it local and supporting the home team.

I agree with you, but there is a big mark up in optics. local stores could do better on their prices, especially if you are buy rifle to put it on.

I’ve bought from them for a long time. First purchase was a $400 pair of binoculars. This was probably over 10 years ago. The owner called me back to answer a bunch of questions and to make a recommendation for what was for me a large purchase at the time. It was a few days before Christmas and he was driving around doing his Christmas shopping and spent 10 minutes with me figuring out what I needed and could afford. He was a deer hunter so he could understand what I was asking and needed. Since then I’ve bought two nicer scopes from them. I always call rather then buy on the site to make sure I get what I need and don’t miss a deal they may have.
