1) congrats, it's awesome
2) you can't grin at skint knees and other bobo's like you can with boys. Whenever I came in with a scrape or a new cut, dad would tell me to go get some rubbing alcohol and he'd try to find a wire brush to clean it out with.
Got in trouble for that one today...
