Opening day has been good to me 3 years in row. Got him at 654! Congrats to all the killers. Love that picture Southwood. The dogwoods in the bloom in the background just make it special. I'm not an experienced turkey killer, but when I think of turkey season, I think of dogwoods.

Saw bunch of jakes and one longbeard that skirted me. Fun hunt though. 1 gobble at 6:30 then bout 7:30 2 cranked up and last one bout 10. I could see him but would’ve been a pretty long shot so had to pass to keep from boogering him up. Congrats to killers

Dang I love when they gobble in the afternoon. Planned on taking a long walk but I yelped once from the truck at 4-30 and he answered close. Rand up to a log landing and killed him before 4:40 Congrats on the bird and thanks for contributing another word to the ALDeer Dictionary Rand (verb) : Moving quickly to setup on a gobbling turkey.
