Finally Russia believes NATO is a hostile alliance and the terrain features that Ukraine has will help defend against any NATO ground offensive. Even in today's world terrain features go a long way in protecting nations from attack and or allow a nation to properly defend itself. The problem with that thinking is that there isn't going to be any NATO ground offensive unless Russia itself causes WW3 to happen. Nobody wants to invade Russia. Nobody wants that chithole. And claiming to believe they are under such a threat because of Ukraine is either delusional or (and this is much more likely) a bald faced lie used to provide an excuse for invasion. If you go back and check WW2 history you will find that, at least early on, Hitler offered up some bullchit excuse to justify all the countries Germany invaded. Such claims are right out of the dictators pre-invasion handbook.
The best index to a person’s character is (a) how he treats people who can’t do him any good, and (b) how he treats people who can’t fight back.

They are calling the civilians a provisional army. They are ambushing the Ruskies. Saw a video where the farmers are hooking tractors to the tanks and towing them off.

You may be right, all signs are certainly pointing to that, but yesterday Putin put Russians on notice there would be “A Cleanse” of “those that dont share our values” (Sound familiar?) That doesnt sound like somebody who is willing to compromise before achieving his original objective. Still a VERY dangerous situation!
I agree. Hard to predict Putin at this point. Unlike others, I'm convinced the Ukrainians are kicking some major ass (Killed the 4th Russian general yesterday) and I don't believe all of it is Ukrainian propaganda. Read today that Russian soldiers are shooting themselves in the legs with Ukrainian ammo so they can be taken out of combat. The captured Russians are claiming that they are being forced to kill civilians, and lots of other stuff. I also read where insiders in the Russian government are saying that Putin's top advisers are lying to him about what is actually going on in the battlefield. Aren't the Russians and Ukrainians both using 7.62x39 or are the Russians using 5.45x39? Regardless of what caliber is used how would they be able to tell who is hit with what?

My understanding is that the Russian forces in Ukraine are using the 5.45x39. Ukrainians are probably using whatever they can get their hands on.

My understanding is that the Russian forces in Ukraine are using the 5.45x39. Ukrainians are probably using whatever they can get their hands on. the Ua guard was issued some type of under folder but the Ua army most likely has these clip The Malyuk (Ukrainian: Малюк, "Baby, Buddy"), also known as the Vulkan or Vulkan-M, is a Ukrainian bullpup assault rifle. It was designed to replace Soviet AK-pattern weapons in use by the Ukrainian army. It also serves as an alternative to the Ukrainian licensed IMI Tavor TAR-21 clone, the Fort-221, as the Malyuk is entirely domestically designed and manufactured. The spec-ops has them surpressed with a beautiful camo paint job.

Ukrainians are probably using whatever they can get their hands on. Last week President Zelenskyy said Putin was the number one small arms supplier to the Ukrainian army.

The left lane is for the the purpose of moving the flow of traffic forward regardless of the speed limit. If your impeding the flow of traffic get your ass in the right lane. It's really that simple...

Funny joke I heard recently.
A large group of Russian soldiers in the border area of Ukraine are moving down a road when they hear a voice call from behind a small hill: "One Ukrainian soldier is better than ten Russians". The Russian commander quickly orders 10 of his best men over the hill where a gun-battle breaks out and continues for a few minutes, then silence.
The voice once again calls out: "One Ukrainian is better than one hundred Russians."
Furious, the Russian commander sends his next best 100 troops over the hill and instantly a huge gun fight commences. After 10 minutes of battle, again silence. The calm Ukrainian voice calls out again: "One Ukrainian is better than one thousand Russians!"
The enraged Russian commander musters 1000 fighters and sends them to the other side of the hill. Rifle fire, machine guns, grenades, rockets and cannon fire ring out as a terrible battle is fought.... Then silence.
Eventually one badly wounded Russian fighter crawls back over the hill and with his dying words tells his commander, "Don't send any more men......it's a trap. There are two of them!"

The Democrats are VERY desperate with the midterm slaughter approaching. They force Kamala to resign, put Hillary in as VP, then feeble Joe fades into the Dementia ward. Hillary is now POTUS!! WOW!, I havent thought of that scenario, but I think you have hit on the PLAN…..

Never will happen after Midterms. No way a Republican Congress would confirm her as VP.

OK, so now Russia is coming out saying that the goal the whole time was to simply "liberate" the Donbass region, and the only reason that they attacked on multiple fronts was to tie down Ukraine's military so they couldn't concentrate their forces in the east. So in other words you are getting your asses kicked and now you are going to say that was your plan the whole time... Yeah right... I think the only government better than the Russians at lying is the United States government. At least when the US government lies, about half the people believe it. Click for Story...
