Put off calling a dentist if you have tooth pain šŸ˜‚
Last Friday I almost called but figured it’s just a little bit of pain and I would call on Monday.
That was the wrong thing to do because Saturday afternoon my pain level went from 1 to 9.
The infection has my face swollen on one side really bad, like my wife punched me. I’ll be glad when tomorrow’s here and I’ll get it pulled. So if anybody learns from my mistake, my stupid actions were not worth it ha ha. I haven’t went one day in probably 15 to 20 years without knee pain of some sort and my knees have not hurt since Saturday afternoon lol

Hopefully you have started on some antibiotics!

Infections associated with the upper and lower teeth can become life threatening quickly. Upper jaw swelling can lead to Cavernous Sinus Thrombosis, there are veins that lead directly to the brain that do not have one-way valves in this area and infection can travel through the veins to the brain.

Lower jaw infection can spread under the jaw and into the neck and then the chest cavity

I have admitted, drained and kept many folks intubated in the ICU for days due to these infections. Nothing to mess around with. Get well.

I got smacked right in the mouth with a baseball coming off an aluminum bat when I was middle school age. Been dealing with issues ever since, have 7-8 crowns, 3-4 root canals. Got another one about to need a root canal was hurting me good. Dentist said let's see if antibiotics will clear it up for a little bit, maybe we can buy a little time before the root canal...2 days or so of taking those and I'm like a new man!

Had my lower left back molar that was broke in half vertically Tuesday. Man I feel great this morning. Two days of pain running from jaw to eye to ear had me walking around like a disoriented dog.

I’ve had to go into my offshore suture kit more than once for folks so I could scavenge Lidocaine, syringes, and a round of #30 Penicillin. Glad I had them on hand for embedded hooks and lacerations.

It was still a long couple of trips back to the hill, though.

It happened to a friend's father when we were in high school. He died from it.

I got my cheek bone broke turning a double play and get double vision every 5 or so yrs for a week cause of it. Not sure all that ball was worth it.

Same here it was basically hurting from the Front of my jaw all the way to my ear. The ear felt almost like a ear infection it was hurting so bad lol

Yes I’m on antibiotics. I think I had an allergic reaction to amoxicillin So now I have two other things I’m on. Tomorrow’s the big day and I have it yanked out

Teeth and bad toes used to be the major cause of early death before antibiotics.
