Just an FYI, in case you're not aware, Okatuppa...
If you trade it in, you won't be taxed on the $52K for the trade-in....only for the difference between the new car and the $52K trade-in value.
Not trying to derail a sale here, just making sure you're thinking of everything. Right, I went ahead and took my trade-in value at the dealer, even though maybe I could have squeezed out a grand or two more trying to sell it myself. Between the tax savings and the ease of just trading it in, was pretty much a no brainer.

I appreciate the advice, but that’s why I said it would be equivalent to what I’m getting on trade.
I would much rather see an ALDeer member get a good deal on it than for the dealership to make $10K.
