Everyone that says “pick a time and stick with it” maybe doesn’t realize that the time people like is the “summer” version which we’re on now that is not the standard. Gives you more time in the sun after work.
I’ll give a vote for liking our current system.

I'm a morning person, I'm always up before daylight anyway (even though I don't have to be at work that early), drives me nuts waiting on it to get daylight, feels like the day is wasting. It's especially odd to me to hear a turkey hunter who wants DST. If you hunt before work in the mornings, you're losing an hour of that daylight. My office opens at 8:00, and I sorta need to be there between 8-9. So if I hunt before work, I need to leave the woods by about 7:30 so I have time to go home and shower and get to work. Once DST starts, hell it's just broke daylight good at 7:30.
And I'm not a "go to bed when the chickens fly up" person, but I go around 9:30-ish most nights. Geez I'm just sleepy by that time, for Pete's sake it's 2.5 hours from midnight.
I don't enjoy DST....not getting dark till 8:30 (+,-) in the Summer months is weird as heck. And for all the folks saying, "I love having the extra hour after dark in the evenings", what are you doing? This notion of "I need the extra PM daylight to get chores done, or play with kids, or etc" is a straw man argument. On our latitude line, we have roughly 12 hours of daylight in the Winter, and average about 15 hours in the Summer anyway, regardless of DST. That's 3 extra hours of PM daylight no matter.

Our idiot leaders in Oregon had the approval passed to get rid of it BUT, only if Cali and Washington did the same. Dummies.
I forgot about the sunrise time and had to stand in the rain an extra hour this morning waiting lol. Out looking for bulls since its shed season.

I don’t care either way. I just hated it when they started changing it before turkey season. Used to be I’d have about 2 weeks to hunt an extra hour in the morning.
