The gas is the same, but it's sold according to market. My parents owned a gas station several years ago. They deliver gas and you pay for it as it sells. You never really "own" the gas. The company sets the price. Very few buy and pay upfront.

We've had gas station and we could set the price to whatever but u gotta stay in line with competition...I reckon jet pep may be different because they did own the gas but independents can do what they want
