The man who taught me much of what I know about turkey hunting told me that everything in the woods is the turkeys enemy except the turkey hunter.

He is in his 70's now and told me this probably 25 years ago, back then most of the turkey hunters (and maybe hunters in general) he knew had a certain sense of conversation about them. Not everyone was as concerned about posting a picture on social media.

I may be very wrong but I wonder if the sense of conservation is lost on a lot of hunters were raised in a urban environment, or are not part of a established club or own any property. Not meaning that as a job, just saying I know a few people that show no real desire to preserve anything for the next season, or the next generation. These same people (that I know) have never owned any property and have been in multiple clubs, many of only a season or two before moving on to the next one. These people only care about tagging out.

Personally, (and I believe I see it in several people on here) I try all year to make improvements for the next year. This may be in trigger restraint, habitat improvements, predator control, and at times population control.
