The loss of turkey habitat is #1 in my book! We have been leasing land in Dallas county since 2009 and the years of the timber harvest as drop our population by 75% due to more predator’s and the hogs! We went from hearing 15-20 a morning in hearing distance to now days 1-2 on a good day! We have been trapping the last few years, caught 21 coons this past weekend! The only place I’ve saw turkey's like thick woods is south Florida! Just saying, think of how many years the season started on the 15th with no problem!!!!!!
