I disagree. If people are to stupid to manage hunting pressure and deer harvest on their property it’s their own fault. No need to punish us that have managed properties with very little hunting pressure and actually need to kill a lot of does per year.
The state already crippled us by going from 2 per day to 1. People need to realize if it’s not public land the members have complete control of how many deer are harvested on their property. If you have low numbers decrease harvest or memberships. If you have high numbers increase harvest. You can’t set a limit to properly manage the entire state
DMAP
This ^^^^^. Go back to one week of doe season statewide and if you need to kill more, get on the DMAP. It would get control of all those 2-200 acre properties surrounding the larger managed acreage tracts, that are shooting every piece of brown hair they see, that's dumb enough to stick it's head into a corn pile or walk under the night light behind their camp or house. The medium to large, well managed properties are not the ones overshooting the does and young bucks and hurting deer numbers in certain areas of the state. It's all the little fragmented parcels around them that are doing most of the shooting. Its pretty much always been that way.
