I'm completely new to this type of gardening, but from what I've read, raised beds are the best way to maximize production. You could make 2 beds, 10'x12'x4', and that would leave you a 2' path between. Plant tomatoes on the edge with a trellis overhead from one bed to the other and grow them vertically. That will leave space for more stuff. You can plant closer together in raised beds than you can in soil. I'll also be planting "Jambalaya" okra variety. It's supposed to be a heavy producer which means I won't need as much of it. It might be the way for me to go. I've read a little bit about raised beds but never tried it. How deep would you make the beds? Mine are going to be 2-2x8's deep. What are you doing for the soil going in them, making your own mix or buying premise bags?
