Joe - We have 22 trough feeders and have no trouble with deer eating. Been using them for 11 years. If you have a roof over them, make sure it is high enough not to bother racks. Can't stop coon, but deer have no problem emptying.

Try above plan

my trough is eight feet X three feet. roof over hang is six feet on each side, one foot on ends with end walls. Easy ten deer at a time can feed. Completely water proof.

I've spent most of the money I've made in my lifetime on hunting and fishing. The rest I just wasted.....

I still dont understand. Unless its like JohnDeere5036 said and thats all theyll come to. Ive had one pic of a coon in months, at this feeder. On our property where we pour corn on the ground, because the deer over there wont eat at a feeder, we get pics almost every night of coons, sometimes 6 at a time

I have yet to see anything a damn coon can't get into. Man they got into a friends vacant rental house and trashed the place. Made a hell of a mess and tore it all up. Were in there for a couple of months I guess. Ripped up the furniture and shat and pissed all over the place.

Double D gravity feeders. Guy will bring them to you. He told me if I ever got a picture of a hog or a coon in it he would buy it back. I have five of them for over five years and never had a hog or a coon in them!

If i am going to spend 1200 bucks, its not going to be on a feeder. Looking at the ones that tend to frustrate the coons, it looks like the trough is higher and it doesn't have climable legs on it. So perhaps building one higher off the ground, and then wiring it with a solar fence charger would do the trick.

Its a dangerous gene to have. If they get big, they get killed. Im hoping the one on the left will pull out of it. The one on the right is sausage
