We teach our kids and we’re taught “If you can’t something nice don’t say nothing at all”. but to see a 80 year old politician say it.
Seems stupid. Theses ads are not cheap at prime time. Is it your money/states of hers being spent?
She needs to be posting what she can do for gas prices. Fertilizer prices.

And of course how she would like to see the game seasons and limits set to settle it for us all

Must be nice to sit around in the governors office and make cute ads instead of debating candidates and telling us some of her plans for the future.

It was stupid and childish and immature....from a 77yo woman who is supposed to be the political leader of an entire state. It’s ridiculous and embarrassing. But a good portion of the voters in this state will eat it up. The state of Alabama constantly bitches about our political leaders and the stuff they do (or don’t) yet we keep electing people like her. We pretty much deserve whatever we get at this point.

I agree with you Gomer. How many in this State are going to Vote for Katy Britt, just because her husband played at Alabama?

Anybody that votes for someone because they are running on, I hate Biden, needs to educate themselves on the things that really matter to our state. I hate him too but it seems that all of the current ads are more about what people are pissed off about now. Not what's in the best for the future of our state. Like being in second in 50 states on being dependent on federal dollars. When the federal government owns you you owe them.

It's an attempt at pandering. And considering the audience it's probably effective.

I thought the ad was pretty good. "Bless his heart" (Irish post above, better describes my feelings about the commercial)
IMO she showed her true colors when she didn't fight a little harder against the vaxxx mandates. But honestly, politics and cov. has left me jaded.

A major corporation would not hire an 80 year old as CEO... I don't see how anyone could vote for Kay Ivey at her age. Same for Joe Biden.... they too old.

I'm not necessarily against MeeMaw. I'm against most government and most politicians in general. I think they are all crooks out for themselves. Most of them need real jobs and quit screwing over the common man for their lively hood.

Let's face it. The cute commercial was and and will be highly effective. Most people in this state don't even know what the issues actually are. When they start looking up and down the ballot, they have no idea how MeMaw feels about government overreach or the economic impact of shutting down a pipeline. All they know is that they recognize the name Kaye Ivey and they think her commercial was cute and avoided any real mud slinging. So she's a hero and besides that, they don't even know who what's his name is. Alabama isn't alone in this. As far as I know it's the same in 49 other states.
Last time the Governor job was up, Tommy Battles (Huntsville Mayor) would have made an excellent governor (my opinion) but his name is only known in the northern 1/4 of the state. He's done a great job for Huntsville bringing all kinds of businesses there and it's growing exponentially. Not many know that though or even who he is, so we have MeMaw for a second term.

probably agree w/ meemaw on 95% of issues but a state Gov should be the lead recruiter for new businesses, auto plants, factories etc.. she ain't that. rather see a conservative CEO governor.....

w/ respect to Britt, she's an extension of RINO Shelby. i'll take her over any demwit but she's probably a globalist neocon-RINO-tax/spend-anti trumper like her boss.

her new campaign says trump is not for mo brooks. trump ain't for shelby and i doubt trump's for her. we'll see

She really needs to give credit to Walt Disney and Thumper for the saying. I wonder if eating greens is a special treat for her too? We really have no choice when it comes to voting these days. All politicians are in politics for a living and not for public service of the people.
