I've killed 2-4 every year for the past 5 years. That said, I've also missed 2-4 every year on top of the ones I've killed. Last year, I killed 6 total with 2 in Bama, 1 in Tennessee, and 3 out west in Oklahoma and Nebraska.

anyone who doesn't believe there has been a significant drop in turkey populations across the board over the last 40 years has been living under a damn rock...a big one.

I've spent most of the money I've made in my lifetime on hunting and fishing. The rest I just wasted.....

Of course there has been a drop over the last 40 years
Just about the time coyotes started coming into the state and most coon hunters faded into the past

I should have killed three last year and quite frankly I am still learning. I used to be amazed how some of y'all would tag out every year, and then I realized when you have a property full of turkeys and some free time you could easily kill 5 in a season if you have half a clue how to call and set up on them.

Dont think I would kill a limit if I could. I like hearing em gobble and no more than we hear now days I would feel bad if I killed more than 1 or 2

I voluntarily quit on three in maybe 1994 or so. I carried my wife and several friends so I didn't feel like I should personally kill five. And I was hunting out of state pretty much so I was still killing plenty of gobblers every year. I called up 32 gobblers that were killed in front of me one season.

I did kill a five bird limit for many years and a six bird when we had a six limit. One of my six bird limits all had 1/4 inch spurs....I had really good places to hunt.

I’ve killed 5 in 2012 and 2018. Never has been a goal of mine to kill a limit. I just like to go. I’ve been with other people an awful lot the last few years and seen several die that I’d have killed had I been alone. With kids enjoying it so much, even at a 4 bird limit, it may be a long time before I do it again. If I kill a bird or two and get to take my kids I consider that a great season. We don’t have the same numbers of birds we used to have. We also have what seems like 5x as many hunters hunting less land than before.

Ive killed a limit a bunch of times but on 2300 acres and hunting only with a couple of people and none who went past the first two weeks. Id be done some years early to mid April and have pictures of tons of birds on camera in our big fields way after I left and no one hunting them.

I like eating turkeys and we had no shortage. Im going to try my best to shoot four this year as well as call in a few for my wife .
