I limited every year on Gobblers till I quit about 7-8 years ago. Enjoy just watching them now. Lots of casual turkey hunters now because of the general commercialization of hunting.

I voluntarily quit on three in maybe 1994 or so. I carried my wife and several friends so I didn't feel like I should personally kill five. And I was hunting out of state pretty much so I was still killing plenty of gobblers every year. I called up 32 gobblers that were killed in front of me one season.
I did kill a five bird limit for many years and a six bird when we had a six limit. One of my six bird limits all had 1/4 inch spurs....I had really good places to hunt. !/4 inch spurs? They all jakes? brain failure....should be 1 1/4"
I've spent most of the money I've made in my lifetime on hunting and fishing. The rest I just wasted.....

Im findin fewer an fewer reasons to go..it has been the one thing in my life that i truly love to do..but i cant seem to find the time or justify spending the money to fool with it..ive always had to drive all over to hunt a bird..but now..its lkke i drive 3hrs one way..just to not hear a peep an leave. Its so expensive to try an come up with places to huntem..now..as far as i have to go..shortest distance is like an hour one way..gas is getting so high..its gonna blow my budget to do much drivin..ill probly hunt 5 mornins this year if im lucky..not to mention..i aint hardly heard a bird goble five times in 5 years..much less hear 5 different birds willing to die.😕
