The best afternoon sit I’ve had all year. I’ve taken my son several time but waited until today to drop a doe for him. Started off chasing squirrels with the Red Rider and finished the evening helping me field dressing her. Truly blessed.

Fiancé got it done on her last afternoon to hunt. We saw nine does and then this guy came in working scrapes. We saw his good side when he was working some scrapes behind some standing cairn. I told her I was going to stop him when he stepped into gap. I grunted to stop him and she made a great shot. He was quartering into us and she put it in his shoulder. When we got down to look we couldn’t find hair or blood and found one deep gouged out track where he entered the woods. 20 yards into the woods I wash relieved to see his eye reflect in the flashlight beam. I’m proud of how hard she hunted and never complained about some of the weather conditions we hunted in. This is only the second deer she has shot at.

I’ve hunt d 8 days in the last 2 weeks and seem a total of 3 deer. Daytime movement has been very poor since the first week of January, not the norm for where I hunt.

Congrats Yall on the kills.

Ended up seeing 17 does and four young bucks. Oldest a nice three year old eight that is tall and wide but needs another year or two. But coming through the woods he sure looked good. Glad to see he made it through the year so far so hopefully I'll see him next year .

My wife saw 13 and two young bucks where she was sitting a field over. Fixing to shoot a doe or two as we need the meat and we have a bunch .
