Me and my son are good for about 3 a year between us. We only get to hunt weekends and don’t have many birds to hunt.

Would walk over a naked woman to get to a gobblin turkey!

Not Me. It's been 2 Gobblers/season the last 3 years. Don't have enough un-pressured areas to go after the first 10 days or so of season.

Turkey 3 years ago - 4 (had strong 80 acre) & deer 3 years ago - clicked on one of my top deer (mounter) 45 yards - muzzliader cap no fire - ended up killing one shooter in rut - 4 year old 8

Turkey 2 years ago - neighbor tried hunting birds in my 80 - only killed one bird - birds not on my Clarke county lease
Deer 2 years ago - tagged out 12/22/21 - 6 and 9 point w bow and 8 w muzzleloader

Turkey one year ago - my 80 got cut or drove thru by loggers the first 5 weeks of season - killed one bird in Clarke - mainly hunt birds across the line at Clarke - birds leave me every year
Deer this year - killed my oldest buck between both leases w my bow - he 7 year old we think - getting jawbone analyzed. Also killed good 8 w my muzzleloader- but he needed another year. Trying to tag out this week - passed one of my shooters up twice in Camden earlier in the year - Ugly 5 year old 7 point - will shoot if see again

Hope my 80 don’t get screwed w in turkey season - my Clarke lease May finally hv turkey on it this season - timber thinned

Last 2 turkey season very hard - most days don’t even hear a gobble. I hd lot more luck when I hunted WMA w lot of land on it and lot of birds - last 2 seasons - no birds to hunt. You got to have them to hunt before you can kill them - lot of mornings hear 0 gobbles
I been in the sierra desert of turkey hunting the last few years. Always looking - May hav picked up a 60 around lamison

Could not imagine having 600 - 1000 acres to hunt to myself w birds on it

When I had that in 90s - had some quick seasons

Hunt the wind - leave it better than you found it - love your neighbor as you love your self
We need prayer for our country now more than ever

Hell I haven’t killed a limit in 9 seasons combined.

Getting a limit of birds in Alabama would take some dedication. I've only hunted public and it takes time to find new birds once you start killing 2 or 3 out of an area you know. I was only good for 2-3 birds in Alabama before I'd leave to hunt Missouri.

What makes it really tough to limit out on Alabama public land is taking young kids after you kill a couple yourself. Several birds over the last 3 years haven't been killed because I was trying to get one of my sons to shoot or we were calling one from too far because those little feet are amazingly loud. But we had some great hunts with lots of close gobbling birds that they just couldn't get their bead on. Plus, I limited them to 30 yards which made it tougher. Son still managed to kill a couple, but lots of learning what not to do.

No limit for me on turkeys. Not enough of them (in my opinion) where I hunt. Feel like I could limit out if I had the opportunity but can’t say for sure. If you can count helping other folks kill birds on their places limits have been met the last 3 years, but I didn’t pull the trigger in those situations.

I don't pay attention to what they say the limit is. I just kill as many as I can.

The reason I thought to do this Poll is to see if our impact on the turkey population is remotely related to the “drop in turkey population”
Never have believed there’s a decline but do believe there are good years for hatching and bad years for hatching
I believe the predator population goes mostly unchecked with very little emphasis on reducing their population coming from G&F office but we do see regulations changing due to unproven theories
So far this poll shows very little impact from hunters but then we’ve just started and be honest about your kills
