Sitting on a food plot thar I finished on last night. Not seen a fresh track since the rain stopped. Going to look around the other side of the mountain after lunch. Brought my camping heater.
. Life is good...better if that buck I saw Monday out here comes back but I think he is long gone. Saw a couple other guys looking for him to yesterday.

Sat till about 9:30 and finally said to hell with that wind. There wasn’t a deer seen between the two of us that were out there. Eating a gas station grits bowl with bacon and eggs mixed in now

I’m on my private land this morning. I bumped several does out of the yard on the way into the woods at first light. Got to my stand and with all the rain my usual view was flooded. However, I did have an otter ease by which was super cool. I turned around with my back to the water and wind in my face. Came out at 9:40. Does were still in the yard.

I am on the side of a ridge. Was half asleep when I hear a commotion. It kept getting closer until I was sure I was about to be trampled by a buck. Was a hikers dog...lord help us. Just got a face full of dog kisses

Ladder stand bowhunting a 4 yr old 3 pt this evening. Wind is nice and steady and directional should be a good evening.

Left the stand this morning at 11, came back at 1:30 and there were vehicles pulled in every turn off for the first mile. Needless to say I’m hunting a spot I’ve never been before and I’m not optimistic about it

Just got internet service. Hunting this weekend with a dear friend at is place in Pike county. I’m in an elevated shooting house overlooking a food plot and a two year old clear cut full of sage and other brush. Glassing alone is keeping me busy. Good luck everybody and be safe!
