I’m a die hard Auburn fan but wasn’t this Harsins last ditch effort to save the program with the quarterback whisperer. Every Auburn fan I know was bragging him up as the savior of Russell Wilson and then I would remind them Wilson was actually older than him

I don’t like hiring these NFL guys for coordinators. O’Brien at Bama , even though they did win a lot didn’t seem to work out great.

It’s gotta be a punch in the gut for a grown man whose been coaching and game planning to have to bow down and eat his pride kissing up to a 17 year old punk who is probably reading on a 5th grade level, and beg him to come play for him.

If I had been in the NFL I wouldn’t be able to do it.

As I look through my Crimson glasses Harsin better produce this year. The WR coach then Bobo then Mason now this Davis all go with Davis not even staying a month? I've been for patience with Harsin but this OC issue sends up a red flag. Is it because Harsin's as big a coach killer as Saban or is it deeper?

I think Davis bit off more than he could chew with all the recruiting that goes on in college.. maybe Urban Meyer wants to be an OC in college again.

If there’s reason to hope for Auburn just remember we (Bama) hit our lowest point when we fired Mike Price without coaching a game. Everything since then has been pretty good.

Rumor is that the personal problems are substance abuse issues. Someone did not do their research.

Curry actually did a good job - he just struggle w AU - he had like #1 recruiting class coming when he got fired and they only lost 2 games that year I think it was - but it all worked out for Bama

Stallings went 7-5 his first year with "Curry's recruits"; he won the Championship 2 years later after he cleaned things up

Yep; lost his first 3 games with "Curry's recruits" and we all were wondering if a good choice.
Coach Stallings is a great man; beyond coaching

If I remember correctly I think one of those first three losses was to a skinny QB from Kiln Ms. Named Brett Farve I heard he did alright in the NFL.
