I know everybody here hates Union labor and I’m not crazy about it, but I’ve talked to 2 people high up in the transportation industry that HATE unions. Both of them said that without a union America would have multiple railroad derailments and multiple hazardous waste spills every day within the trucking industry.
Top tier management would never let it be reported either. If an 18 wheeler loaded with toxic chemicals that cause childhood cancer spilled into a city’s water supply they would just get the next truck on the road to protect profits.
