Pull some receipts from exactly one year ago and compare them to today. 6% aint even close to reality. Its about 15 -20%.

I'm not looking forward to seeing what fertilizer prices will be come April when the ground dries out enough to spread it. My place will not get any this year if it's as high as I've heard it is already. $1100 a ton what I heard but I ain’t bought any…. Got chicken litter over this way and it better be higher this year or I guess I’ll keep mine I'll sell my cows and the damn grass can die before I pay anywhere near that. That's Fuggin rediculous. We sold half in July and half this week gonna go a different route...I kept a 7 registered ones with calves n 1 bull

I will have a decision to make if fertilizer and chemicals stay that high. Will probably be out of the cattle business. Its already pitiful what you get for one considering what you pay at the grocery store. We all know that just because costs have doubled doesn’t mean we will get more for the end product.

Its just a lie, and a big one, not even close to the truth and its plain to see. Theyre thumbing their noses at us and theres nothing we can do about it. Our govt is the biggest bully on the planet

Jwalker it's all a lie that most believe but it's sad at how they cover everything up and nothing happens. It will backfire eventually but alot of damage has been done. Maybe a Democrat will chime in on this.
I'm sure some are on here....

I was thinking about a year from now. Prices are really high now on products made or food grown on last years supplies. How much higher will those same products and foods cost next year after being produced on the high price of supplies we are seeing right now? I have a bad feeling about it. I cant imagine how lower income working families will make it

I think a ton of fertilizer was $550 last spring. I only put out half of what I needed then because of cost. Luckily we had plenty of rain last year to keep the cows happy. A dry year would put me out of business. Prices at the cattle sale sure doesn’t reflect inflation.

Is the above $1100 post for Nitrogen? Granular or liquid? Thank God we've got a dry stack barn full of chicken litter.

Spring of 2020 34-0-0 was $375/ton with a buggy @ C&S in Scottsboro. Last year it was $580. I haven't priced any this year.

I'm taking a much more serious look at gold right now. Not just small amounts, but bars that can be locked away in the bank vault.

You have to make more than you spend. If youre not able to do that, your savings will get wiped out. We are fixin to see a situation where most people cannot do that. We are swirling around the bowl right now. We know the toilet has been flushed, we just havent gone down the drain yet, but we will. Its coming and it cant be stopped.

Anybody ever thought about how , with all the technology we have compared to 25 years ago, nothing cost less to the consumer.
With all the robotics we have, and all the manufacturing being moved to slave labor countries, nothing cost less.
For a country that advertises its citizens as the most efficient, hardest working people on the planet, those corporate gains in efficiency and cheap labor never resulted in anything being less expensive for the American consumer.
Crazy isn’t it.

A fertilizer plant in Winston Salem NC burnt last night, apparently there is/was enough ammonium nitrate in rail cars there to pose major explosion hazards. Fertilizer prices will probably be going up again.

I bought some image lawn spray yesterday. Paid 27$ for the small jug that connects to the hose pipe. I want to say i paid around 20$ last spring.
