I haven't seen the data that says, 80% light transmission. I just got my hands on one Fri , mounted it up yesterday and I am impressed. The fit and finish are top-notch. The glass is clear and bright as you would expect from a company like Meopta. I did not get it out in the evening to compare my Optika5/6 scopes, but I did think the brightness and clarity at 2 PM were equivalents between the Optika5 and MeoSport. I didn't pull a 6 out. For hunters, this scope is going to check a lot of boxes and value is always at the top of my list. The rifle is a .300 WM that was just restocked and glass bedded.
