I’m sure the pound is funded from taxpayers, never the less it is too far and of an inconvenience. I know all May neighbors for pretty good ways in both directions. I have taken their dogs home several times. I even called a lady that left the collar on one and she said oh we forgot to take that collar off.. I told her what I thought but I’m sure it didn’t do a dang bit of good. I love animals I have a lot, most which I depend on for a living. I’m not a hater

I would never be cruel to and animal and have one laying in the floor next to me now. With that being said, when you find a stray someone has dumped in the middle of nowhere and it’s suffering…..lead to the head is not cruel…it’s a duty IMO

Yep, people that drop them off for others to have to deal with are a special kind of sorry. They get dropped a about a quarter mile down the road pretty often. Several have gotten lead poisoning trying to break in to my chicken pen. That's not what I want to do but it seems to be the best way to handle the situation I'm left with, because someone else was to sorry or to big of a coward to take care of their own animals.

I'd hate to deny him of all that ball licking pleasure Both my males are fixed and they still lick their "balls". I guess that is some of that phantom pain phenomenon you hear about when part of you is missing or amputated. I suppose dogs have it too.
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

Problem is that too many people own dogs that have no business owning one. This is another huge pet peeve of mine. People that own doges, just to own them. They put together a tiny fenced in area way off from the house (Or worse a stake and a chain) and then stick a social animal in there by itself and then feed it once a day, never take it for a walk, play with it, or anything. It's alike a solitary confinement prison for a dog. Why own a dog if all you are going to do is imprison the thing? Dogs are meant to be part of a family. If they are not going to be a member of your family, then don't get one. Simple as that.

Dang, the pound takes them for Free I think Most pounds are here are “no kill” shelters and have to take care of these animals. They are usually slap full and have been told after bringing multiple stray cats in that they would prefer if I took care of that issue myself.

I'm about the farthest thing from a PETA type person that you will ever find, but if you are cruel to an animal, I don't care what kind of animal it is, you are an evil person. It's one thing to kill an animal for food, it's another thing to be cruel to a living being.
Yep. I have no tolerance for people that are cruel to animals or who just kill something not to eat it.

I don't mind shooting them myself keeps my skills honed..... I find #4 buckshot to work real well.

Been suspicious that the neighbors bulldog mixed hound has been running my yearling heifers . Sunday morning I caught the turd doing it . Tried to drop a roll of hay on him but he got through the fence on me . Texted the neighbors and got the oh we are so sorry , we will keep him out of the pasture. If I’m in my truck the next time I’ll keep him out of the pasture. No collar, free range dogs I don’t understand. Be a responsible pet owner !

Dropping dogs should be an automatic prison sentence. Killing dropped dogs shouldn't be frowned upon.
