Finally to the field she shot yesterday. Got dark quick yesterday and it’s pretty thick so didn’t want to risk it lastnight. Will be her third buck ever and he’s a dandy so fingers crossed this recovery goes well.

Down to my last 3 hunts of the year. Sitting in same cutover as yesterday pm where I saw 6 does and 2 young bucks. It was calm early but wind has really picked up. Gonna give it til about 1030 or so. I didn’t see a deer until 945 around here yesterday.

Well I’m waiting on the family to get ready to go eat Mexican then ice cream and bowling. This afternoon gonna try to knock a few things off my honey do list that has been growing drastically in the last four months. Wife says if I don’t do a few things toward the top of the list today then I don’t get any tonight before I leave tomorrow. I think she is bluffing but I’m not gonna test her to find out. Well Austin decided last night she wasn’t getting up that early to hunt so we slept in again. Of course the 8 I was trying to get her to kill was in front of the camera posing between 6:40 and 6:55. Can’t tell kids anything.
Would walk over a naked woman to get to a gobblin turkey!

Sat in a clear cut until late morning. Very windy didn’t see a thing. Moved to a hardwood bottom to refill feeder and didn’t kick anything up. Sitting in favorite food plot with perfect wind since 1 hoping they’ll move this afternoon.

Went to stompin' around my place this morning. Slowly stalked my food plots, went places I haven't gone since last turkey season (the big buck sanctuary of course), creeped, eased, and snuck along until it was just painful. Jumped a couple of does up and retrieved my cell cam that went dead weeks ago, no bucks seen.

Also, Tinks 69 will wake you up in a hurry if it gets on your fingers…ask me how I found that out. Get the China flu and you won’t have to worry about that ! On my second day of no taste or smell . Sucks !!
