In Vestavia? If it's the place I'm thinking of, it's pretty good.

The Alabama burger cooked medium at Black Rock Bistro in Jasper.

I will add that john Hall store near bargainer (sp) road 13 bridges. In pike Rd/Mathews area has a fine pimento cheeseburger (or used to few years ago)
There is 2 different high fence. 1 small and one big! Mine was free range in the big pen and was not a breeder buck. Why does it have to be twisted around??

Hamburger King downtown Montgomery 547 S. Decatur. Get it to go, so the juices will have time soak into the bun while it’s wrapped in that wax paper. Vickie’s lunch van LLC, 2520 Fairground Rd. Montgomery is probably a close second. Both will put that pesky cholesterol low warning light right out! Mmmm, Mmmm, Good!

Saw's Soul Kitchen is the best in Birmingham.
For anyone that likes J&J you need to try Kimbrel's Grocery in Adger, they have an awesome burger

I can't believe no one has mentioned Pirate's Cove in Josephine/OBA.

Let's to the best Steak next and follow that up with places to eat at the beach. We can just go ahead and get these out of the way for 2022.

When I worked in Montgomery years ago, I remember Hamburger King having a good burger. They also had a pretty good breakfast sandwich.
Never been a fan of CheeburgerCheeburger in Auburn. My family and I have a running joke about how few people we see eating there. We walked by one evening recently when all the other restaurants downtown were packed and there was just one single person at one table in there.
Jim N Nicks used to have pretty solid burgers when they hand-pattied them. The accountants must have gotten ahold of their menu and killed a lot of the stuff that made them different and worth going to.
I think my favorite burger was when I was a kid and we would get burgers and BBQ sandwiches at Ms. Rhodes BBQ in Union Springs. It is now called Hilltop Grill, I think. Man those were some good sliders back in the day...
I think for the most part, burgers are like steaks. The best ones are the ones you cook on the grill at home.

Golden Rule (now Archie's) on Hwy 31 in Hoover. Henry's in Brookwood. Foodbar in Cahaba Heights. The burger isn't on the menu, you have to ask for it.

If in Bham, over by the airport there is Sammys Sandwich shop. They are good, and comical. Hamburger steak there is my favorite, not much of a traditional burger guy.

This Hard to beat a Tony's Cheeseburger special. The long line(but it moves) everyday is a good indicator .
