My 05 tundra downshifts going down hills when you touch brake pedal. It's only a 5 speed automatic.

Toyo dealers like to push a trans flush, don't do it. Drop pan, change filter, and add fluid. Also their WS trans fluid is not good for 100k miles.

I left the quarry with a load of AG lime in a 2 ton dump trailer with my 05, all total, 15,000 pounds. I pulled it out there in the rain too, with 4wd and AT tires. Even their loader couldn't get traction.

Not sure what all you would be towing and such. But imo today I would get one of the new Nissan frontiers. Those things are nice.

The best value in a truck as far as longevity, maintenance and holding resale value is the Toyota Tacoma.

"Why do you ask"?

Too many people spend money they don't have , on things they don't need, to impress people they don't know.
