I hold the lease on our club and run the club. I make the rules but I do try and listen to the members and take into consideration their thoughts and desires but at the end of the day, I have the final say. As far as benefits, I do more work at the club than anyone, and I pay the same thing that everyone else pays, I will assess members fees if extra money is needed but for the most part, if it is under a $1000 a year, I just kick it in the club funds. There is nothing glamorous about running a club and there certainlly isn't any financial windfall associated with it.
