Thinking about getting one to use for ground deer. I’ve always just made jerky out of sliced meat. What are y’all’s thoughts on a Jerky gun?

I have one. I think I got it at Bass Pro but I ain't sure.

Here's my model from Amazon. Hi Mountain Jerky Gun

I reckon they are all about the same. Venison jerky won't last a day around here. I've been making jerky from ground beef to offset things. My gun can do the flat ribbon type jerky or the meat sticks.

I have one...don't remember if it came from WalMart or Academy or BPS, etc
It does what it is supposed to do...make jerky sticks about like slim jims and has 3 different tips for the flatter pieces of jerky.
Like JDR said, they are probably all made by the same bunch and just packaged differently. Mine came with the gun, the 4 tips, and a few packs of different seasoning mixes.

It works and makes good slim Jim sticks. Change up your seasoning. You can even make it with beef if it isn’t a sin.

LEM jerky cannon, LEM seasoning, ground deer with no fat added, only way I'll make jerky anymore.

Yup, it's not greasy at all when you use no fat ground.

Good deal. I ordered a gun last night. I’m going to give it a try.
