I think we’re going to load up a day early and try to get out of here before the rain starts tomorrow afternoon. It’s been one heck of a trip and even though I miss my wife and kid I’m not ready to leave.

Cool thread and congratulations! I’m assuming you are keeping the boat anchored out in deeper water and using the canoe to shuttle to the beach? We actually used the boat to bring everything across, put it back on the trailer, and came back across on the canoe. That way we didn’t have to worry about the boat blowing away or getting beached.
