Hunted with my Pastor’s 14 year old daughter yesterday. She shot an 8 point at about 3:40. Ended up being gut shot. Didn’t push him and let him lay over night. Jeff Adams met us at the camp at daylight this morning with his catahoula dog, Rainey. She did amazing and went right to him. Jeff is an outstanding guy if you ever need a track in south central AL. He lives around Florala. It was the girls first buck. She was pumped that Rainey found it even though the coyotes got most of him.

Be prepared to wait all season to get your deer back unless you pay the $40 to get bumped to the front of the line.

Absolutely you will wait. He finished my February deer in October. It’s about the quality of his final product. He delivers a quality product and stands by it. No one comes close to his quality. I’ve used Brantley and other assorted processors in the past and no one comes close to Josh’s quality products. Well worth the wait or pay the rush or double rush to not wait as long. Shipped my last deer to me a few weeks ago which worked out but double rush is cheaper. thumbup

I have been told there is a new processor near Atmore.
There is also a new one on Hwy 41 close to the I65 Brewton exit named Lucas wild game processing.
Does anyone have any info (price list, reviews, etc.) on either of these?

I have been taking my deer there the past few years and I won't take it to anyone else! Very clean and the sausage, burger, and snack sticks are fantastic.

Definitely also recommend Holloway's which is the cleanest processor I have ever seen. I fired my old processor.

UPDATE. I no longer use this processor. Used to be excellent.. Prices have gotten out of hand. Never had a problem with quality for past several years or gotten ill but last season's products were not up to his old quality. Actually had gastrointestinal issues from 4 bags of his snack sticks and threw the rest out. I believe he got so busy his quality and cleanliness has suffered. It's a shame because he used to put out a great product and is a nice guy.

Josh has processed all my deer for years and it’s always the best. I do know that he fell off one of his coolers in 24, broke his leg and he got way behind. I don’t have any problems waiting.

I'm curious about you guys that wait that long for your deer to get processed, what does the processor do with the deer for that long? I know about hanging them for a couple of weeks in a cooler, but I don't know that I would trust one to hang much longer than that.

Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.
