I have a customer with a high fence operation. He has customers coming this week to kill deer. Said he was gona have a hard time getting it done because some of his 200+ inch bucks were running around with one antler. Not uncommon but expensive in his business. So you think "theyll be bigger next year". Problem is a 250 pays the same as a 200 so he will actually lose $600 in the next year feeding these early drop bucks. That is assuming they live and he gets them killed next year.


He would be money ahead on the holdover if he would cut the sheds up and sell them at pet store chew toy prices.
