I jumped that deer this morning when I was trying to slip into where I was hunting. I’m hunting a bottom that’s about 250-300 ft deep. As soon as I saw them down in the bottom I started grunting to him to calm him back down. Well me grunting to him pissed him off so he came from the bottom of this mountain all the way up to the top where I was at trying to find me. He was hooking trees and grunting the whole way. It was so thick the way he was coming I couldn’t see him until he was about ten ft away. When he saw me at about 8 ft it was like the part on the movie home alone when dude sticks his head in the door and sees the kid with a gun in his face definite oh chit moment for him but it was to late I rolled his butt and he crashed all the way back down to the bottom of the mountain. I’ve had this deer on my land for a couple years now and I killed him two miles away from where he’s been all year

Deer moved real early. Brought out one of my drivers and his son this morning. They shot a 4 year old 6 point at 7:00. Ended my morning hunt early, not worried, wind was swirling and got cold feet quick.
