good read, this is why you need a catch dog or two. It'll cut down on all that walking and swimming Or leashed the dog . They'd had a better chance of jump shot ting him . Dog kelp the deer moving to me, it sounded like the dog did a decent job of baying the deer. He said he tones the dog off the bay and then shoots it. He needs to rethink that strategy. Also how he slips up to a bay. I shot a hog this year that had probably 15 dogs baying him. Its a very fluid situation. One bay dog would be a walk in the park. I'm not knocking him because producing a good trail dog isn't easy, raising one that will trail and bay is impressive and takes alot of work and dedication on the dog and handler.

Over the years I jump shot a good many guys have shot . Deer gotta stop for you to do it though. I walked up on a gut shot 10pt still standing , front legs spread drooling looking at me . ... Shoulder blowed half off . Shot threw the hind quarters. . . One bad hurt like that will lay down .

Anyone else notice that nowhere in this thread, unless I missed it, has anybody ever mentioned the size of this buck.

Harold just sent me some pics. The deer sank in lake Martin. It's gonna be a needle in haystack to find this one but they are really still trying. Can't make this stuff up. I texted him and said are yall serious or just pulling us along.
It isn't necessary to see a good tackle...you can hear it.

So if the high tech fish finder doesn't work, are you going to drain the lake next? Break out the scuba gear? Get one of those Navy SEAL rebreather thingy’s? All I keep seeing is a flash backs of Sean Connery from Hunt For Red October. If you recover it, are you planning on mounting it with a snorkel in its mouth??
