I have hunted the tombigbee river swamp in wash co for years, sitting on the porch of our house boat as I type. My buddies are dragging out two pigs and an 8 point as we speak. MLK day has always been great for us. From then until feb 10th should be jam up but these river swamp deer are a little different than most. The rivers up and I’ll be here until Monday! Where are you at in wash co?

I hunt Baldwin county but the rut is definitely the last of janurary. The last of January the 25-31 are the best days. I’ve never killed or seen much in February since the February season started. I have seen a lot in March while turkey hunting but I just belive it’s because the woods have been unpressured for so long and the second rut is coming on

So yes I would definitely be hunting the 13-15 but would rather hunt a week later

I hunted out west of Chatom off 56 for almost 10 years. Our rut was generally between Jan 25-Feb 6 or so but this was back when the season ended on the 31st.
