I got my first cell cam last year - mother in law gift - Moultrie - then I got a tacticam on my own and she gave me another moultrie this year
I notice the deer don’t like the cell cams near as much as my old cams and if I look at them late they got a huge red flash. My buck field usually gets 400 pics a night (down a little due to heat but get bunch deer feeding) on my old browning cam - the bucks use the feeder - most relaxed spot I hv for feeding (deer finally accepted camera)
I put the cell cam there yesterday- 0 pics of a deer actually feeding and probably 35 pics total

Any of u guys see this same BS? I moved one of my cell to road patrol which I really like - about to cut the one I just put up to every 5 min and if I gets no deer feeding - will be hard to leave up. One field I hav no cam due to spooking - May turn them all off and I only hav road cams at Camden

My deer not digging the cell cams - u guys see the same ? I moved cams high up in tree this year and angle down - that helped my non cell cams - don’t look like crap will help these cell cams

Thanks

I only have one cell cam. A SPYPOINT that has worked well for me. Had it two years now. I have it on a feeder at one of the few spots that have enough service for one to work on my place. Doesn’t seem to bother them at all. I’m fact I have one buck a nice shootable 8 that is in there mostly night some days that we call Fabio because he comes in and puts on a show for the camera like he is modeling.

Maybe the camera isn't triggering.

The issue could be new human scent in the area.

Thanks guys - at both my leases deer hav had to get use to cameras (shy away from) over last few years - this year is the most comfortable they been by far until I put the cell out - where I just put the cell at I was regularly getting 400 pics a night - the heat slowed the feeding a bit But I was still getting lot pics per day - been getting 400 a night for about 3 months at that spot until a few weeks ago. The place I just put cell I go in once a week to feed around noon and done it this way for 3 years - deer do not lay up close to this field

I do notice a much larger red flash on the tacticam and Moltrie that I do t have in my reg cams

Going to put this cell on The road at Camden for live patrol of area until I can get them more use to cell flash after season

Why not? I would hate to not know if I was hunting a place that had 0 shootable deer or not

Probably be dissappointed new deer sont just magically show up but you can certainly inventory an entire population and know exactly what deer you have on a place.

I was going to turn them all off this year and hav not - off at Camden field - but I am hunting here every 7-8 days - think my pressure to high
They were comfortable at my buck spot finally in Clarke this year - then I switched To cell cam this sat - cell cam Scare - nothing fed - atleast the 2 diff types I got - give off a huge read flash - waY more than standard non cell cams I was using

We see how it works JB

Lot of people don’t understand deer act diff to feeders and cams - some deer not scared - some are - started feeding 20 years ago in Arky then several years later in FL - deer resound diff to diff presentation. I am new to cell cam

Ben - I got 3 fields in Clarke and one in Camden - it all comes down to wind anyway - I got a hole lot of mature in Clarke - not so many in Camden. And I got some roads and woods spot in Clarke - I need to scout since place was just thinned to find some intercept points - just haven’t - hope it not too wet to hunt tomorrow

Had a similar issue on one of my leases this year. Place has literally been hunted one evening the entire year and I don’t go in or out unless it’s to fill feeders once per month. Was getting buck pics all during the day and night and then everything shut down. Couple weeks go by and still dead.

I rode over there to put out some fertilizer out one day and ran into a civil engineer doing survey work for the railroad. Said that they been working the section for a couple weeks and should be done before long. Spent all that time scratching my head and questioning the cams and feeders only to find out someone jack wagon had been walking all over it.
