The gold standard bullet for whitetails in .308 is a 165 Sierra. Read the reviews on Midway USA is you are not convinced of that statement.

You can also shoot 180's if you want more knock down.

DO NOT SHOOT CRAPPY LIGHT BULLETS THEY ARE NOT MAGIC.

The 130 grain bullets that I’m shooting are regularly used to kill elk and moose.

Accuracy? I can cover 3 shots with a dime, shot at 100 yards from a bench.

Took your advice and went to Midway’s site to read reviews. I’ll admit that I didn’t read them because I have real-world experience with these bullets. However, a quick glimpse confirms that MOST folks are very pleased with these bullets.
