No deer yet but turkeys yelping everywhere Dang, you can see a long ways in that stand! My eyes would hurt, I’m accustomed to watching a 75 yard radius. Good luck!

I am back in the same stand as yesterday. Hardwood creek bottom backed up against the creek itself. I let a nice 8 pt walk yesterday at 8:05. He will be a real good one next year. I saw one lone doe slipping through at first light. Nothing since then. The squirrel rut is on for sure.
I can't stand a thief.

Don’t give up fellows, I let a good solid 8 point get by me this Am. I was in the bottom leaned up against a tree watching some sloughs and he came out 15-20 yards looking straight at me. Literally anywhere else and he be dead right now, but it wasn’t a monster. Just a 16” solid 8 that I would have “ dropped him like he’s hot” 😁
What’s working for me is get in a bottom around water with this hot weather because they are going to move and look for does.
Lucky joker played the peek a boo game with me and all I could see was his face and antlers.
Started to shoot him in the neck one time but I thought surely I’ll get a decent shot in a second….. nope.
Everything woke turns to shucks

Got home earlier than expected wasn’t eve settled in good I am watching the biggest buck on the property run by in about 200 yards across say cut over I never did see what he was chasing though trying to decide if I should get down and go to the other stand that he ran in front of.
