... He did pretty good last night from what I saw in the Youtube highlights. 9-4 at UCF it will be interesting to see if he redeems himself. Does anyone have a better record against Saban than Gus?

He is still the same ol' Gus. 2pt conversion for no reason after a TD and what looked a lot like an attempted half back pass when the game was in hand and all they really needed was to run out the clock. Both plays failed but he let in the chance of a huge mistake more than a good coach would do. He has turned UCF's offense into Auburn's offense and UCF will do what AU did with him when they realize that he doesn't have another level of coaching ability.

He ran a delayed draw on 3rd and 5 in the 4th quarter and Florida had 5 down linemen.
I had a flashback of him coaching at auburn and had to drink a beer to relax after seeing that. Right before the snap I knew what he was going to do.

Gus had a mostly senior Oline at UCF. It will be interesting to see how it goes from here on out.

Gus May do decent at UCF - they traditionally don’t hv a tuff schedule - he may do okay against weaker opponents and FL has plenty of players
As far as what kind of coach he is - here are a few short reminders but I got way more than a few - could publish a book in the stupid he done - these are just 2 of his bettr flubs
Remember the 3 headed QB?? Dumbest thing or close to dumbest thing I ever seen in sports. He ran a different qb in every play for a long time - oh and it did not work - if I would hav been standing by him - I might hv slapped him
And this is the other - same game mind u - he developed a trick play - he got his fat slow full back to catch a shot gun snap - turn a complete 360 (that was the part that was supposed to fool the D - I am about to vomit reliving this BS) and well - it lost like 4 yards - trash it right - no - this idiot runs it like 4 more times all w same result
After the game - he admitted the 3 qb monster and the Whirley bird play - which he said was his invention- were stupid ideas - u think??? He pissed away so many good opportunities it not even funny and yes I could right a book in all the stupid he did - He could not hold Barfields jock strap and Barfield was our 2nd worse coach ever - now u no who was the worst is
Never use the word Gus and good in the same sentence unless it is good bye or good riddance - he can b very moranic - but against average teams - he can do great - like he will face at UCF

He use to preach future very bright at AU all time to help keep his job
In his defense - they will play a lot of easy games against un ranked at UCF and he in FL - a recruiting paradise - think he found his home. When UCF went undefeated - they played nobody and then AU loafed in the bowl game (Gus coach)
Lot of sec teams would b 11-1 to 12-0 w his schedule
At AU he was about 25% in bowls - about 28-30% against big 3 rivals (Ga - Bama - LSU) - to describe him at AU - very average - went down after his first year and he had 7 straight years of 4-6 loses every year - you hav to go back about 70 years to find a time when Auburn had that type stretch of loses at AU

Yea - that was way to big a slight to Shula - AU was largely disappointed w Gus - Bama was disappointed w Shula too but prob should not compare the 2
I am very Anti Gus
And to his comment - we could win it all here - teams like UCF and Cincy should be made to play atleast 3 top 15 teams every year in the regular season otherwise shut your mouth on any championship talk - those 2 teams will not play 3 top 15 teams in 2 years time in the regular season

And also because the other main candidate was Sylvester Croom and power people at UA were not about to hire a black man no matter what.
