Stainless A Bolt 270 is a good one. Heavy and well built. Trouble free as any rifle I have ever owned. The X Bolt is another good one.

Good choices I don't think you'll be disappointed in any of those

Anything pre x bolt. I’ve had 4 x bolts 2 got sent back to browning and were replaced. 2 wouldn’t shoot better than 2” at 100. Got 2 a bolts that’ll flat shoot.

“Browning” and “Best” don’t belong in the same sentence.

I have has my Browning x bolt 30-06 for over 12 years. Stainless still and still looks like day one. I use it a LOT each year both in woods and rifle range.

Just don’t get a new abolt3 they are cheaply made. 1 or 2 are real good guns.

What you use Big Game Hunter? 30 years ago Browing seemed like the Big Deal

My A-Bolt has a smoother action than any rifle I have. But, it also has about 500 more rounds through it than my others. I like the magazine better on the A-Bolt than the Bergara, but would rather the browning have a fiberglass stock. But, my A-Bolt 270 has been finicky over the last year or so and I've not quite gotten it figured out on accuracy. This is a new development though and has been a 1 inch rifle for the last 15 years except for the last 12-18 months. Could very well be a scope issue, but not sure yet.

The A-Bolt is just a pretty rifle. My hells canyon shoots better (XLR), though.

Wife has a micro medallion in 243 that will flat out smoke em. I have a framed 3 shot 100 yard group she shot with. 0.247” if routinely will hold 0.5” groups.

Are you asking about current production or what we consider the best they’ve ever made?

I was mainly joking.

That being said; in the Browning line I’d lean toward the older stuff over their new stuff. The new ones seem cheaply made to me.

I shoot a variety of mfg’s/actions but anything built along the design lines of the Mauser action or REM 700 would be my choice.
